To get the best out of your MYOB Acumatica (formerly MYOB Advanced) it is important that your system is up to date. Here, you can find information about the MYOB Acumatica version history and the latest upgrades available, which include the latest features.
Upgrades for MYOB Acumatica happen automatically. Approximately once a month, an overnight process will upgrade the site with a minor release. As a result, you don’t need to do anything.
Once a year, there will be a generational upgrade, and we will be in touch regarding when this will take place and what new features will become available. For these upgrades, we will liaise with you on whether you want to test the new features in a sandbox environment with plenty of time before it is due to take place.
Summary of the New Features added to the 2024 Series of MYOB Acumatica
The 2024.1 MYOB Acumatica release brings enhancements including margin calculation, distribution planning, sales forecasting, and a modern UI. MYOB Acumatica 2024.1 includes the major Acumatica releases 2023R2 and 2024R1.
- Estimated Margin Calculation: Calculate estimated margins for sales orders and lines.
- Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP): Improve inventory and sales forecasting with time-phased planning.
- Sales Forecasts for Inventory Planning: Create sales forecasts to plan demand for stock items.
- Modern UI: Prepares for an updated interface with customisable screens and settings.
- Expense Refunds to Corporate Credit Cards: Process negative expense receipts for corporate card refunds.

Summary of the New Features added to the 2023 Series of MYOB Acumatica
2023.1.5 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The 2023.1.5 MYOB Acumatica brings the following enhancements to the MYOB Acumatica Payroll module:
- Centralised Payroll Reports: All payroll reports are now in a new Payroll Reports workspace.
- Payslip Enhancements: Improved readability and added details like annual salary and clearer tax credits.
- Australian Tax Updates: Added support for new senior and pensioner Medicare levy exemptions and updated tax rates for working holiday makers.
- Payslip Processing Details: New columns show when payslips were last printed or emailed.
- Leave Summary Updates: Added Cash Out and Cash Up columns for leave summaries.

2023.01.4 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The 2023.1.4 MYOB Acumatica release boosts platform functionality and addresses previous issues, enhancing overall usability:
- Removed the Password Must Meet Complexity Requirements checkbox to reduce confusion, as password complexity requirements can no longer be disabled,
- Added a warning for working holiday maker (WHM) tax rates if the company is not registered as an employer of working holiday makers, ensuring proper taxation,
- Expanded access to the Engineering Workbench and Inventory Turnover report for Manufacturing User licence types, which were previously restricted to Full User licence types,
- Resolved issues with terminology inconsistencies, global search access restrictions, and errors related to Production Orders, including template item errors and discrepancies in quantities used.

2023.01.3 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The 2023.1.3 MYOB Acumatica release is a major upgrade and adds a variety of new features and usability across the entirety of the MYOB Acumaticaplatform:
- Improved security of the MYOB Acumatica platform with better password standards and better notifications for users when someone changes their details,
- Partner and administrator user licence changes,
- More secure notifications about changes to bank accounts and email addresses,
- New look for the sign-in page,
- Easier to access help.

2023.01 - MYOB Acumatica Release
- Delete tenants and snapshots in one screen: the process of deleting snapshots and tenants has been improved to address the possible performance issues and interruptions to user activities. The system deletes tenants and snapshots in batches instead of deleting all the data in one operation,
- Mixed Order Automation Behaviour: Ability to enter a negative line on a sales order to indicate receipt. You no longer have to enter 2 separate transactions,
- Reassign approvals: users can reassign requests for their approval or delegate approval requests to other users,
- Quick batch generation: a shorter workflow is provided as an additional way for supplier payments to be mass-processed,
- Improved Delivery of Built-In Infotips: users can view info tips for boxes, checkboxes, and option buttons that appear on the tabs and in the areas of most MYOB Acumatica forms, as well as for the columns of tables on forms,
- Ability to change account type with posted transactions, e.g. asset to liability,
- Archiving process: This functionality provides the ability to archive the documents that are older than the retention period specified on the new Archival Policy form and that are processed to completion (for example, a sales order that has the Completed status and all its lines are billed and closed or cancelled) improving performance,
- Microsoft Teams Integration: users can start a Teams chat, start a Teams call, import files from Teams to MYOB Acumatica, share MYOB Acumatica records with a contact or channel in Teams, send automatic notifications in Teams about events occurring on a record,
- Enhancements to Tasks: new layout and functionality, improving usability,
- Enhancements to Business Events Triggered by Action: the ability to create a business event triggered by an existing action on a data entry form has been added,
- New side panels,
- Predefined user roles have been added that provide access to the forms needed in the everyday work of employees related to inventory and order management,
- A host of performance improvements throughout MYOB Acumatica.

2022.1 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The 2022.1 MYOB Acumatica release is a major upgrade and adds a variety of new features and usability across the entirety of the MYOB Acumatica platform:
- Finance – Automatic matching of bank transactions and prepayments with automated deduction charge matching.
- Distribution – Blanket sales orders, and the ability to ship to different customer addresses by line has been enabled.
- CRM – Events for customer contacts, Merge Duplicate Improvements, Extra Fields on Activities, Tasks, and events as well as draft emails available with templates.
- Projects – Improvements to quotes with the ability to progressively bill by quantity and generate retainage reports.
- Field Services – Renew, copy, and quote service contracts, as well as set up automations for this action.
- Manufacturing – Process control points improvements. Queue, Move and Finish Time are now linked to the scheduler. Restrict document visibility by branch and gain access to predefined dashboards.
- MYOB Acumatica Mobile – customise your workspace screen to easily navigate and view new or existing records, KPI tiles, Global search and designate favourite screens.

2021.1 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The 2021.1 release adds a wide range of new features across the entire MYOB Acumatica system:
- There are improvements to the Finance module covering credit memos, AP aging reports, reconciliation statement reports, intercompany sales and more.
- The Construction module saw improvements in progress billing, joint payees functionality, substantiated billing reports, enhanced logic for calculating retainage in pro forma invoices that have a contract cap, and workflow corrections for pro forma invoices.
- More general Platform enhancements include changes to notifications and business events, a preview for the General Inquiry screen during GI design, improvement to import scenarios, and more.

Summary of the New Features added to the 2020 Series of MYOB Acumatica
2020.5 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The latest update to MYOB Acumatica is primarily focused on the Payroll module. For our New Zealand specific clients, the module now has greater support for leave management processing, and terminations in respect to the NZ Holidays Act.
For all other users of MYOB Acumatica Payroll the new update:
- Has an effect on the configuration of employee’s pay distribution, making the system more flexible and easy to use
- Allows payroll expenses to be brought into project accounting, after being allocated to projects and/or General Ledger accounts. This means that payroll costs can be allocated more flexibly throughout the MYOB Acumatica system.
- Already includes the new PAYG tax tables, as this information is updated independently of the MYOB Acumatica system.

2020.4 - MYOB Acumatica Release
The 2020.4 release adds new features to the already wide range that is available in MYOB Acumatica. For those already on version 2020.3 it is a minor update that can be deployed overnight. Otherwise it is a major update including the upgrades of 2020.3.
The new features of version 2020.4 include:
- Taxable Payment Annual Reports (TPAR) for the building and construction industries
- Updates to the Payroll Batch Payments functionality
- Updates to ACC and WorkCover reports
- The new Franchise Connector to help franchisors manage their business
