MYOB Acumatica Releases

Information on the new features in each release of MYOB Acumatica.

MYOB Acumatica is a powerful cloud-native Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Because it is built for the cloud, your business can take advantage of real-time data flow and automatic tax and payroll compliance updates across the platform.

As with other cloud platforms, MYOB Acumatica is being continually developed to meet your evolving needs, and harness new, available technologies. Once a year, your system will be required to undertake a major upgrade. This will take you onto the most recent, available version of MYOB Acumatica.

Our team will manage this upgrade process with you, to ensure your customisations are preserved when migrating to a new version and that everything works properly. Sandbox environments are available for you to test new features before you go live.

What is the most recent version of MYOB Acumatica?

MYOB Acumatica 2025 R2 is the most recent major release of MYOB Acumatica. It includes the major Acumatica release 2025R2, along with extra features designed for New Zealand and Australian companies. It became available for MYOB Acumatica users in the first half of 2026.

MYOB Acumatica 2025R2

MYOB Acumatica 2025 R2 has a range of updates and developments across the entire platform.

Platform and User Experience

The enhanced Modern UI is now available and suggested by default. it brings improved performance, navigation consistency, and configurability compared to the Classic UI. Dashboards and widgets load faster and are easier to personalise by role and user.

Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

New anomaly detection highlights unusual data patterns in Manufacturing data. By creating new Generic Inquiries, combined with anomaly detection you can monitor material costs, labour time, production totals, and employee efficiency with outliers automatically highlighted for action.

A new cross-sell assistant for Inventory and Order Management automatically generates cross-selling suggestions for stock and non-stock items. This helps increase average order value without additional sales effort.

Manufacturing

Release a full manufacturing document and update production within a single, connected transaction. This unified process improves speed and reliability while also improving traceability across inventory, costing, and GL entries.

Cost calculation is now separated from cost updates, giving you a clear and flexible way to generate, analyse, and schedule cost rollups across your manufacturing environment. The new Production Order View and Modern UI-supported Production Schedule Board screens help you spot delays earlier, better understand dependencies, and make smarter decisions.

Inventory, Distribution & Warehouse

Use new order orchestration features to automatically select the best warehouse(s) from which to fulfill sales orders, based on your pre-selected fulfillment strategy. Intercompany drop shipping will also support direct shipments between related companies to external customers, including returns.

If you receive a stock item in multiple warehouses, you can specify a default put-away location for each warehouse to which you receive the stock item. Non-stock items can now be received, returned, and put away using barcode processes to preserve workflow consistency for your team.

Projects and Construction

There is a new project status that changes completed projects to read-only and removes them from transactional processing, while preserving data for historical reporting. There is also a new 360-degree project status dashboard in the Modern UI that consolidates KPIs, budgets, costs, billings, documents, and contacts in one place.

Integration and Mobility

The mobile app now supports thumbnail previews for attachments, making document review easier in the field.

MYOB Acumatica 2025 R1

MYOB Acumatica 2025.1.1 includes the major Acumatica release 2025R1, along with extra features designed for New Zealand and Australian companies. MYOB Acumatica 2025 R1 was available for upgrade in the second half of 2025.

Projects and Construction: improvements to AR/AP and other construction-specific reporting.

MYOB Acumatica 2024 R2

MYOB Acumatica 2024 R2 includes the major Acumatica release 2024R2, along with extra features designed for New Zealand and Australian companies. MYOB Acumatica 2025 R1 was available for upgrade in April 2025.

Some of the most impactful changes from this upgrade were:

Finance: Prepayment invoices in Accounts Receivable and Sales Orders.
Manufacturing: Enhanced estimating and production orders.
Projects and Construction: Improvements to commitments and substantiated billing.
Payroll: Improved rehire workflow.
Platform: enhanced user experience, especially at sign-in.

MYOB Acumatica 2024 R1

MYOB Acumatica 2024 R1 includes the major Acumatica releases 2023R2 and 2024R1, along with extra features designed for New Zealand and Australian companies. MYOB Acumatica 2025 R1 was available for upgrade in September 2024.

MYOB Acumatica 2024 R1 includes changes to lay the groundwork for an updated Modern UI, including an overhauled interface, a new settings menu and new ways to customise screens.

Some of the most impactful changes from this upgrade were:

CRM: Association of Email activity with its parent task or event, closure notes in cases.
Finance: reverse cash purchase documents, and changes to summary area totals.
Inventory and Order Management: New Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) functionality.
Platform: Introduction of the Modern UI base, ability to execute actions for specific lines in Import Scenarios.
Projects and Construction: Enhanced side panel support, simplified project budgeting logic, enhanced row-level security.

There were 8 minor releases in 2024, resolving bank feed changes for Bank of New Zealand customers and addressing other payroll compliance calculations.

MYOB Acumatica in 2023

MYOB Acumatica 2023.1 was the only major release in 2023. It was made available in September 2023.

Platform: Improved security with better password standards and better notifications for users when someone changes their details
Manufacturing: Improved handling of unused materials on production orders
Construction: Redesigned tracking for project-specific inventory
CRM: Delegation and reassignment of approvals
Distribution: Mixed sales order types
Payroll: Connecting underpayments with adjusted pays and the ability to reassign approval for leave requests in MYOB Employee Self-Service. Enhancements to the default reporting suite.

MYOB Acumatica in 2022

MYOB Acumatica saw a range of improvements across versions 2022.1 (September 2022) and 2022.2 (March 2023).

Some of the most impactful changes from this upgrade were:

Platform: Introduction of Single Sign-On.
Inventory and Order Management: Rollout of side panels to screens in this module.
eCommerce: Native Shopify integration and automatic population of shipping options and payment methods.
CRM: Enhanced ability to select an employee as a case contact
Distribution: Blanket sales orders, and the ability to ship to different customer addresses by line has been enabled.
Finance: Create an approval process that prevents GL transactions from being released and posted until they’re approved by an authorised employee, plus automatic matching of bank transactions and prepayments with automated deduction charge matching.
Manufacturing: Engineering workbench to view, create, and modify a multilevel bill of material displayed in a tree structure. Restrict document visibility by branch and gain access to predefined dashboards.
Field Services: Enhancements to Service Contract Renewal and Quoting
Construction: Track project progress by unit through progress worksheets.
Payroll: better control over negative leave balances in Employee Self Service, and faster and more flexible employee onboarding.

MYOB Acumatica in 2021

MYOB Acumatica 2021.1 was the only major release in 2021.

Some of the most impactful changes from this upgrade were:

The introduction of the new MYOB Acumatica Workforce Management integration.
Debit adjustments for subcontracts and
UI Changes to the Bills and Adjustments Screen
New company groups, entities that include multiple companies that share the same customers and suppliers.
New Financial Dashboards for AP Clerks and Financial Controllers
Capable-to-Promise (CTP) functionality for Manufacturing and Sales Orders.

MYOB Acumatica in 2020

MYOB Acumatica underwent significant changes in 2020 with several major releases.

Some of the most impactful changes from this upgrade were:

Employee Self-Service was added to MYOB Acumatica Payroll to manage leave and public holidays, timesheet imports, employee transfers, and reporting.
Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) added to track payments and submit a report to the ATO
Control Accounts for greater restrictions on posting to key General Ledger accounts and subaccounts
MYOB Acumatica Payroll released for New Zealand
Business Event notifications and automations

MYOB Acumatica in 2019

MYOB Acumatica version 2019.1 was the only major release in 2019.

Some of the most impactful changes from this upgrade were:

Automated Warehouse and Inventory operations, including pick, pack, and ship, receive and put away, and receipt and return workflows.
Updates to Project quotes and budgets, and multi-currency projects.
Enhancements to Generic Inquiries.
Improvements to Deferral Schedules and deferral codes
New calculation and processing of landed costs.

There was one major release for MYOB Acumatica in 2018. It introduced many features that current users could not live without.

Secure Authentication and Two-Factor Authentication for enhanced system security.
Bank Feeds to import transactions from your bank or credit card statement.
Tax compliance updates for tax tables to student loans and superannuation guarantee thresholds
TFN declarations via Single Touch Payroll (STP).
Payday filing to report employee pay details to the IRD
Payslip Password Protection can now be switched on.
Enhancement to Reducing Balance Deductions.

MYOB Acumatica continued to benefit from regular releases throughout 2016.

New licensing types for executive users to access reports and employee self-service features.

Native integration with HubSpot.
Leave loading into MYOB Acumatica Payroll.
Improvements to multi-branch pay runs.
Enhanced project stock management, including automations to associate inventory transactions with project tasks.
Quickly correct mistaken transactions by reclassifying the General Ledger account, subaccount, or branch.
