The MYOB Advanced (Acumatica) Payroll – Employee Self-Service course is an online, on-demand course that provides Payroll Administrators, Employees and Managers with the skills and knowledge to use the Employee Self-Service module in MYOB Advanced People.
The course consists of two modules. The first module focuses on the tasks/processes that should be completed by the Payroll Administrator. The second module focuses on the tasks/processes that should be completed by Employees and Managers. (See the Course Modules below for details on what is covered in each module.)
Included in the course is a downloadable PDF version of the course material – perfect for making notes when completing the various sections of each module. Having a printed manual also means you have documentation that you can refer back to later.
Upon completion of each module, a Certificate of Completion will be available to download for your records.
Modules take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Each module is divided into small, 1 to 5-minute sections, giving you the flexibility of completing brief training sessions throughout your workday.
For Payroll Administrators:
- Knowledge of payroll process and procedures
- Understanding of your company’s payroll processes and procedures
- Knowledge of the legislative requirements for processing payroll
For Employees and Managers:
- General computer skills
Who should enrol?
You should complete the entire course if you are:
- Responsible for managing and processing payroll within your company.

- Set up an employee for Employee Self-Service
- Prepare and import Leave requests into a pay
Module 2: Employee Self-Service for Employees and Managers
- Logging onto MYOB Advanced
- Viewing and updating Personal Details
- Making a Leave Request
- Accessing Employee Self-Service on a Mobile Device
- Review leave requests (Managers)
- Approve/Decline leave requests (Managers)

The course is hosted via the Kilimanjaro Consulting Training Portal. If you don’t have an account yet, open the link in your internet browser, click on the Sign Up button and follow the instructions to create your account. You will receive an activation email with instructions on how to complete your profile. Courses can be accessed from the Store or Course Directory menus.
