Who is Revelop?

Revelop is an independent and privately owned property building and development company specialising in commercial real estate. It manages over 80 properties and 1,800 tenants across Australia, all supported by a growing team of 30 employees. Its portfolio is made up of residential, commercial, and retail assets — including 26 shopping centres. Their approach integrates innovation and sustainability, aiming not just to expand their portfolio, but also to uplift the communities and cities where their properties reside.

What catalysed the switch to MYOB Advanced Business (Acumatica) and MYOB Advanced Payroll?

Initially, Revelop were outsourcing most of its accounting and bookkeeping functions to a tax agent. While this approach proved effective in the company’s start-up stages, it soon became evident that it was no longer tenable. With the tax agent juggling over 100 entities manually, efficiency plummeted, and errors became commonplace. Compounding matters, Revelop found itself in a frustrating loop of back-and-forth communication with the tax agent, trying to ensure the accuracy of their financial reports because they did not have direct access to the necessary data. This lack of direct oversight not only wasted valuable time but also cast doubt on the reliability of their financial information.

MYOB Advanced Business (Acumatica) has allowed Revelop to analyse development projects and leased properties. They use this information to generate comprehensive financial reports across various entities or the entire business. In addition to routine management reporting, Revelop must produce specific financial reports for major funders. Previously, compiling such reports was a time-consuming ordeal spanning weeks. Now, this task can be accomplished with just a click of a button.
