Real efficiency improvements from a real business – Oriem

Oriem is a market aggregator between construction customers and concrete suppliers. They offer pricing and efficiency benefits as a single trusted point of contact for concrete deliveries to construction projects across Australia. Oriem must consider several key factors such as location, the job, prices, and availability to determine which supplier to use to fulfil their clients’ orders. By default, MYOB Exo was unable to handle this complexity. So, the Oriem team used spreadsheets and manual processes to manage these requirements, resulting in a disconnect in their overall process flow.

Oriem saw the value in moving this operational data into MYOB Exo. They also required additional in-app reporting and functionality to manage the process. After undergoing a Business Process Improvement Process, Oriem decided to use the Kilimanjaro Consulting Framework Application to create a bespoke Sales Order Management and Scheduling module. What they call the ‘Oriem Aggregator Module’ is fully integrated into MYOB Exo Debtors, Creditors, Contacts, Sales Orders, Stock, and Email Services – completely removing the need to duplicate data between disconnected systems. This system and the additional customisations it allows, have enabled Oriem to streamline their scheduling and optimise the performance of the organisation. They now have greater visibility and control over their operations, with improved efficiency through the reduction in manual data manipulation. The Oriem team can automate highly specific processes, applying business rules and alerts to provide significant improvements in:

  • Scheduling,
  • Communications/Client Notifications,
  • Credit Control,
  • Plant and Supplier Selection (based on their selection criteria),
