MYOB Advanced is now known as MYOB Acumatica

In July 2024, MYOB changed the name of the MYOB Advanced platform to MYOB Acumatica. This was to bring greater transparency to the alignment between the two companies that have been partners since 2014. The Acumatica Cloud Business Management Platform is the world’s fastest-growing cloud ERP system. It is developed by the Acumatica company in Seattle, USA. MYOB Acumatica is based on the Acumatica platform and has the same features and functionality. MYOB Acumatica is localised to the Australian and New Zealand markets, with local tax and compliance requirements.

MYOB Acumatica Payroll Training

Training is essential to get the most out of your MYOB Acumatica Payroll system. At Kilimanjaro Consulting, we have a number of training options available to you:

Training at implementation

During implementation, our payroll team will provide training on using MYOB Acumatica Payroll. Our team will cover standard payroll processes such as:

  • Setting up new employees
  • Processing pays
  • Issuing payslips
  • Generating the standard bank file to upload to your bank to pay your employees electronically
  • Generating the standard superannuation file to upload to your Superannuation Clearing House

Training post-implementation

We realise that there is often a lot of new information to take in during the implementation.  As such, we can arrange a refresher or additional training on your system post-implementation. This training is customised to suit your specific requirements. It can range from topics such as those covered during your implementation and creating new leave entitlements, new pay items and superannuation funds. Our team can also provide training on using additional features in the system, such as Employee Self-Service and Payroll Tax reporting.

The MYOB Acumatica Payroll- Employee Self-Service Course

The MYOB Acumatica Payroll – Employee Self-Service course is an online, on-demand course that provides Payroll Administrators, Employees and Managers with the skills and knowledge to use the Employee Self-Service module in MYOB Acumatica Payroll.

The first module focuses on the tasks/processes that should be completed by the Payroll Administrator. The second module focuses on the tasks/processes that should be completed by Employees and Managers.

End-of-Payroll Year

As with any other payroll system, there are certain processes that must be completed at the end of each payroll year.  Via the Kilimanjaro Consulting Training Portal, information on completing the end-of-year process is provided between June 1st and July 31st each year.

Generic Inquiry Writer Course

About the course

This training course will guide you through the process of creating and managing Generic Inquiries (GI) in MYOB Acumatica. GI is a built-in reporting tool that can be used to help you analyse and interpret important information captured in MYOB Acumatica by allowing you to:

  • Create on-screen reports
  • Export data from MYOB Acumatica to Microsoft Excel or other Business Intelligence (BI) Tools via OData
  • Create Dashboard items based on the result set of the GI
  • Create Pivot Tables based on the result set of the GI

This MYOB Acumatica training course will also review the impact of creating new GI, dashboard and pivot tables in relation to the security management of these items.
