Who are the Lusty & Blundell?

Lusty & Blundell is a marine and industrial supplier, based in Auckland, New Zealand. They distribute to retailers across NZ and a network of dealers and installers. As one of our longest-standing clients, they have seen consistent improvements to their business.

What catalysed the improvements to MYOB Exo?

Lusty & Blundell is a major importer and distributor of stock all across New Zealand. They required a system to handle their complex stock requirements and foreign currencies. They also needed to make better purchasing decisions, and so needed deeper detail of their stock data. Lusty & Blundell knew that a flexible system like MYOB Exo could be tailored to their business needs. The original inventors of MYOB Exo, Kilimanjaro Consulting (then Enprise Solutions), was the best team to customise the system to meet their specific requirements.

What changes followed the decision?

MYOB Exo has had positive effects all across the Lusty & Blundell business. The Service Manager module, exclusive to and developed by our team, helps manage their customers’ sophisticated service and maintenance requirements. This module operates the entire service division, taking care of bookings, repairs, warranties, and technicians. MYOB Exo also gives Lusty & Blundell the ability to take on detailed sales and margin analysis. They are always in control of the retail side of the business with fast and detailed stock turnover reporting.

How are they now?

Along with their partnership with Enprise Solutions, Lusty & Blundell have seen further improvements through regularly upgrading their MYOB Exo system. Such benefits include:

• Faster system responses and faster access to their regular functions
• More drag & drop functionality and shortcut hotkeys to speed up their actions inside the system
• Better serial number tracking for easier stock searching
• Increased compatibility between MYOB Exo and upgraded Microsoft products
• More space for stock descriptions

This implementation was completed before Enprise Solutions and Kilimanjaro Consulting merged. At that time, the original implementation team was a part of Enprise Solutions. After the merger, Kilimanjaro Consulting became the largest, most experienced implementer of MYOB’s Enterprise Solutions across Australia and New Zealand.
